A mixed group of healthy Australian cattle and sheep grazing together in a broad, open paddock, featuring red and black Angus cattle alongside clean, white Merino sheep with dense wool. They are spaced naturally across gently undulating pasture, with a wire fence line and a distant windmill and water trough indicating a well-managed farm. Soft early morning light filters through a light mist, casting a cool, diffused glow and subtle highlights on hides and fleece. Shot from a slightly elevated angle with sharp focus throughout, the composition uses the rule of thirds to balance animals, land, and sky. The atmosphere is orderly, professional, and trustworthy, conveying a sophisticated, real-world trading environment.

A sleek bay Australian stock horse standing in a lush green paddock, its coat glossy and well-groomed, head turned slightly toward the camera with attentive ears and a clean leather halter. The horse is positioned near a simple white post-and-rail fence, with rolling pasture and scattered gum trees stretching into the distance. Late afternoon golden hour sunlight washes the scene, creating warm highlights on the horse’s muscles and soft, elongated shadows across the grass. Captured at eye level with photographic realism and a moderate depth of field, the background gently blurred, the mood is calm, confident, and sophisticated, ideal for a premium livestock marketplace homepage hero image.

“We moved quality stock quickly, with confident buyers and clear paperwork from listing to final handshake.”

About Sharon Locker-Lloyd

Agriculture has always been a part of my life. As a third-generation farmer, I was raised with a strong connection to the land, livestock and the rural communities that support our industry.

My farming background has given me firsthand experience with the realities of running a rural enterprise — from livestock and property management through to the importance of good genetics, careful breeding decisions and finding the right market for quality stock.

Today, I continue my connection with agriculture from our farming property in the Monaro region of NSW, an area with a proud history of producing quality livestock and some of Australia’s most respected farming enterprises.

I created Stock & Stud from the perspective of someone who understands the industry. Buying and selling livestock has changed considerably, and producers increasingly need simple, effective ways to showcase their animals to a much wider audience.

Stock & Stud has been developed as an online livestock marketplace connecting breeders, producers and buyers across Australia — whether you’re marketing stud stock, commercial livestock, genetics or looking for the next addition to your breeding program.

My aim is to build Stock & Stud into a trusted, practical marketplace that celebrates Australian agriculture and, most importantly, works for the people who make their living from it.

A refined, indoor sale preparation scene with a single, impeccably groomed show horse standing in a clean, open-sided stable bay. The bay features smooth concrete flooring, neatly stacked straw bales, and brushed metal rails, with the horse’s brushed chestnut coat gleaming under diffused natural light entering from a large side opening. Soft afternoon light creates gentle highlights on the horse’s neck and shoulders, with subtle shadows falling toward the back of the stable. Photographed at a three-quarter angle in realistic detail, the background slightly softened to keep focus on the animal. The atmosphere is meticulous and composed, conveying care, quality assurance, and the sophisticated standards behind premium livestock listings.
